The first LEAD One of 2017 was held Saturday, May 6, at The Life Center, Lenoir, North Carolina. LEAD One events are one-day, high-impact leadership training events. Read more...
This event, as well as others to follow in 2017, highlight some perspectives on racial reconciliation, and will include a segment on networking and how churches across the nation can form powerful ministry connections. Speakers include Don Morris, USMB national director; Terry Hunt, district minister for the North Carolina District Conference and pastor of The Life Center; Stephen Humber from MB Mission’s Midwest team; and others.
Morris says, “The upcoming LEAD One events will mainly address the issue of racial reconciliation, with input provided from the perspective of various presenters. With racial tension being front and center for much of the past few years in America, this is an important subject for us as MBs to address and talk about. We need to understand the viewpoints of others. We need to pursue reconciliation where needed and work toward unity in our communities and beyond.”
He anticipates that the material at the NC event will be repeated in other regions and districts over the coming year. “It began in North Carolina and we’ll go from there. So be watching for announcements about future events in your area.”
